I created this Matto pattern remembering the beautiful, traditional, durable rag rugs made in Finland.
And why the name Pohjanmaa - well the grey and the dark red make me always think of men of Ostrobothnia, so I created this traditional pattern and named it Pohjanmaa (Ostrobothnia in Finnish).
